Great series! Really nice job of capturing the action. Did you try upping the contrast on these a little? I don't know, I just think it might help them pop a little more.

Randy..could we se the exif data for those shots.....Wich btW were FANTASTICthumb.gifbow...... seeing the exif will help me (at least) in making a decision for my transcending to a new DSLR brand....and help with my battle of 1.5 crop frame over Full Frame.

    thx
no....i don't do much PPing....I shoot too many pics to spend more than 30 seconds on each so i usually just crop & USM and maybe some EV adjustment
I'm sure if i spent more time in PS they could look alot better

    thx Art....
they were shot at f2.8 & some at f4
    iso 200
ss was very high since sun was hot
ev was -.3 on some and -.7 on some

if u shoot in good light get a nikon
if u need low light high iso get a canon
i shoot both but imo the d200 is the best cam for the money out there

I love the detail. It's so funny how the dust and dirt can make a photo much more interesting. :D

    Great shots!

I'm curious, what makes a Nikon better in good light? Or is this an "all things being equal (I'd choose the D200)" statement?

    great, great pics.

better color and contrast, pics have more pop
d200 has better buttons & dials (it's an easier camera to shoot)....
but the 30d blows away the d200 in low light for AF accuracy, speed and low noise

I've held a D200 in my hands and it seems like a special camera.

    wow- great shots

currently using a 20D here, looks like I should upgrade my lens before the body from what I've been readingne_nau.gif

    thx

the 30d has a few nice upgrades, the biggest for me was more iso stops but the 20d should be every bit as capable...
I almost never use spot metering (the other improvement in the 30 over the 20)
