On Golden Pond....
...or at least on the sweet light pond...which is no longer frozen and the duckies are back (including some good migrants but no good shots)

slowest was 1/500. in order (if i got it right) 1/640, 1/640, 1/1250, 1/2000, 1/500. I was shooting on aperture priority between 400 and 800 iso. all shots post-processed for modest noise reduction and sharpening.

Were they shot at a high iso? Seems like a lot of noise in the 2nd one. Other than than great shots!! Kudos!!

it's always a battle between the sun going down and enough light to keep up the shutter speed. Plus, a secret photo location - doesn't everyone have one?

My favorite also, but that first one does appeal to me as well. The killdeer is not easy to catch in flight, but then of course, you know that!

wish i had more time to comment on everyone else, but i appreciate your efforts in that regard and the other forum regulars who regularly comment - it's always nice to get feedback. But.....
some of us have to work in between shots.

some were at 400 iso and some at 800. in order to get the ducks in flight, you almost always need to bump iso near sunset if you want a prayer of a sharp shot...

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
