Noise

So a while back with a (circa 1998) 2MP Canon 1N based DSLR I took some night shots of a Basque labour protest. With ISO 1600 the noise was just huge but I still liked the shot.

1/15 , f4.5 , ISO 1600 , 100mm

The above was heavily work on. Today I went back and played with the luminance smoothing and the noise reduction in the PSCS raw import module and came up with this:

    how about a B/W of the noisy one? And you would even have the ability to push the exposures on the eyes a little! It would be like a very nice film grain I think!
