Here are the shortear owl photos I got last sunday..I've never seen an owl in the wild in person so that was a thrill. There was 5 or 6 of them flying around together. This was at Bong state park.

Thank you Jeff. I was afraid that they would be blurry when I got them home. this was a pleasant surprise for me. ironically I did mess up the one shot I took of a shortear sitting in a tree. go figure

thanks Maestro. I think all I did is auto contrast, boost the saturation & sharpen some ,crop. Tried not to over sharpen ,I tend to do that .

and with all the big glass you need ,do you alll use tripods and monopods,? how do you have the freedom to Move, i always feel tied down on a monopod??????

thanks.... i did have my monopod, but these were hand held at shutterspeeds of 500,640,1250.
