I'm still working on this stuff and i know my lighting could use some work. However, this is a lot of fun. I feel as if I am developing a "style" and it may not be the norm but I like it. I guess the question is, do others like the style?

anyhow, it's good to practice on my kiddos:

Thanks for looking.

These are great! I particularly like #1 and #3. I prefer seeing kids looking natural and not forced into smiling. The flap of fabric on the background is distracting, but you probably already realize that! Keep posting!!! thumb.gif

Love 1- how you used her hair as a major framing element. Very nice...

You might try moving them away from the background to get more of a blur on it. just a thought....

    Looks great though!!clap.gif

I love the way the hair and hands have framed the face in the first one.

Thanks everyone... I understand about the background... i wish i had more space. (note to self: must work on expanding studio... talk to wife)

I'm also having to figure out how to smooth out my background fabric. Another learning step.

    peace.

I like your shots. I know the feeling about backgrounds. I have black velvet against the back of my dining room wall, which is my studio. Silky or polyester reflects an awful lot as your last photo shows.

BTW, I see your are in Wenachee. I haven't been out in ages, but my Aunt and cousins are there, coming from Cashmere where my mom is from.
    Lots of cousins.......

    johno,

the shots are great! hannah and caleb should get a pay raise - they look so calm and at ease with the camera. naturals.

btw, your prayers are doing good, things are almost back to track. thanks!

    nice!
Nice "style!" I don't think that flap is distracting at all. If you have to be close and do not get the blur, it's better then the wrinkles. I like #2 the best. Great colors and technique.

I think my stance on posed studio shots is well known - I simply don't like them but you know what - the first photo is simply awsome! There are signs of great model in the making there clap.gif

Nir, it's great to meet up here in this forum, where we met, again. I am so glad to hear things are moving forward. Thank you for the update.

Pay raise, huh? that's funny. Just so you know, I do have a big pay raise in store for all of them coming up soon. Vacation time is near. More on that later.

    peace.
