Hey- first post here, long time lurker. Here are some shots from some Emory baseball games this year, I'm just getting back into photography as part of the staff for the University newspaper. Shot for a long time with an old-school Minolta 35mm SLR (vintage 1970's), and have made the jump to a 20D courtesy of the 'paper:clap

I like how the ball is visable in almost all of your photos - I think that is important. I always try to get facial expressions - they always make the photos more interesting.

I would maybe crop them closer to the action. What lense are you using?

Good suggestion about the facial expressions - usually I'm so focused on stopping the ball that I forget about capturing some good faces. Cropping is something else I should try to get better with at the point of capture.

I think all of these were done with a Canon 80-200 (I believe it's 80.. 200 is the longest for sure), it's a white lens but I'm not sure of the model #
