Lusting for the BIG 3

For some time now I have a bad case of LLD for the 300AFSVR.
4G's + for a new one is just hard for me to swallow!!

So after doing some research I come to find
that most if not all incarnations of Nikons 300 F2.8 are super lenses.

You guessed it I got my hands on an early MF version.
I'm happy to report that my research was correct.
The 300's got some magic goin on :wow
Wanna see, thought you'd never ask :lol

You guessed it again I dig this lens it feels great on the MachineGun and balance is good, but yeah I still want the AFS one.
Of course this quest will only end when I get my hot little hands on one
but in the meantime this is a pretty good band-aid for what ails me I think :dunno :D

    Very nice lens! You have had such good shots before, I just assumed that you already had one of those of 4k lenses. Heck the Canon one I want is about 7K! How do I rationalize that to my wife? eek7.gifscratch:cry

    Congrats on a super peice of glass. You can't go wrong with any version of the 300 2.8

    you buy a bigger bike rolleyes1.gifrolleyes1.gif it is a great lens but the vr is handie or dandie headscratch.gif it is helpful :ivar nice shooting thumb.gif
