Tougher choice, but I got them!
Harry, I see your two and raise you by one more! g (yesterday kind of late afternoon.) That Heron has been eluding me, he spooks in an instant.
I think the herons are very difficult to photograph. They blend into their surroundings beautifully. I can miss seeing them. Missed him earlier in the day. Just didn't see him til it was too late. Then I kept coming back, but the picture isn't stunning........none of him are.
The next time I am in PS, I think I will turn him around. He is not OOF, I don't think. Looking at him now, he looks kind of, but I check the eyes, before I bring them down to smugmug.
I think this is the little one. If not, I have others, I was concentrating on the bigger birds. Harry, this isn't an egret, is it? It doesn't have the neck. g

After all is said and done, it is the sweet tea.

The Great Blue can be a tought exposure especialy when he's in shadows like in your shot. You may want to try some flash under similar conditions.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
You are making me miss summer !!

Love that 1st shot! You got 3 different types of egrets/herons in one frame (a very well exposed frame, I might add ) I agree with Harry. Balancing the exposure in order to properly expose a Great or Snowy Egret, as well as a Great Blue Heron is tough. Ya dun good
Thanks for sharing these,
