Pilings in the Potomac

I went out a couple weeks ago to get the lunar eclipse - unfortunately clouds blocked the moon. :cry I walked away with this however. I just wish I could have had the crimson moon framed in this shot.

    Great light but not enough of a story for me. I would say it needs one more element like a bird or something????

    Actually, I really like the simplicity of the picture, along with the blue waters. :D

    I really like the atmosphere here. Lovely colors and the contrast between blue and orange. I don't think the moon would fit in the particular photo though. mwink.gif

    Thanks everyone.

    It was the light here that I really liked. That and I was standing around hoping the the clouds would clear to show me the moon - I had to shoot something, right? :D

    Agreed, they really pop out with contrast. Nicely done.

    Since those don't exist then perhaps getting rid of a lot of the background/foreground? The radio tower in the background had to go. mwink.gif

    After taking a few suggestions into account, I played with the photo a bit more and updated it. See what you think.
