I thought I saw a bear!
As I was walking up the steep bank from a field pond, this gave me cause for pause.
Of course it turned out to be the base of a fallen tree...but for a second there...:yikes
Still not much cookin' here. Here are some Mallards that didn't allow me to sneak up on them.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Edit: Duh! If I would have read more carefully I would have known what it was.

The mind is a funny thing, sometimes. Logic has little value when survival is at stake. There probably hasn't been a bear on this land for a hundred years!
