Hi folks. Thanks in advance for the help. And forgive the length of my explanation!

I am a Pro user with a separate website/e-mail (www.danhicok.com, dan@danhicok.com). My domain is registered with GoDaddy and I host elsewhere (webstrikesolutions). I am almost ready to get rid of my other site and have danhicok.com point to my Smugmug page. No problem there, I have found the tutorial on this. I also want to transfer several e-mail accounts @danhicok.com. I have purchased GoDaddy's e-mail plan that should allow me to use Outlook for my e-mail accounts. My question is how do I transfer these accounts from webstrike to GoDaddy and get my existing addresses properly routed once my webstrike account is closed? When I go to set up my e-mail at GoDaddy it says:

"Note: If you are hosting elsewhere, you must modify your domain's MX records at your current host to point to our mail servers. MX records take 4-8 hours for .COM and .NET domains and 24-48 hours for all other domain extensions to propagate"

Not sure what this means or how to do this. Isn't Smugmug my new host once I have transfered my domain?

Thanks for the help. Dan

No, we have nothing to do with your MX records. You should really take this up with Godaddy.

All we do is allow you to CNAME alias your domain to your Smug account - when ready, holler, we'll help thumb.gif

Well I successfully linked by domain name to my smugmug account. I was able to resolve the e-mail issue with GoDaddy by using their DNS control panel. Thanks! Dan :D
