50 acres of flowering Giant Tecolote Ranunculus are located in Carlsbad, California. A feast for the eyes and the sensor. The Flower Fields are an experience one will never forget.

    Some great shots Gary!! thumb.gif

How long does this last? I have been wanting to make the drive from Phoenix to shoot this for quite some time.

It lasts through the end of April - beginning of May. I caught the very beginning .... in April there should be many many more blooms.

Very nice Gary! And thanks for posting here so I could use it as a preview of how the flowers are doing this year. I went last year for the first time.

Also to anyone thinking of going, this is right next door to Legoland California (Legoland is behind the flower fields up the hill just behind the hotel and office buildings) so it works out well for me. I drop the wife and kids off at Legoland and I go to the fields to shoot in peace.
