I personally haven't tried to capture sport like you have,
I guess a lot of things are going on and it would be hard to keep
    an eye on everyone.

The girls all look like they are having fun.

So who do you consentrate on?
    The bowler?
    The bater?
The Catcher? ......... this is what would be going through my mind.

Good friends daughter it the pitcher (bowler?), so he just wanted pics of her form.

Tried to focus on the batter till the ball was put in play, After that, its just luck anticipating where the action is going to be....

You post caught my eye as I am going to attempt some girls softball games for the first time next month and I was looking for pointers.

I like your shots, very nice for an overcast day. Where were you shooting from? Past the coaches box on the right field side? This shows me I have some challenges to consider as I'll be shooting from the other side of the fence! Thanks.

Thanks, I was just past beyond first base, behind the fence. If you get a good lens you should be able to get all the shots you want. Just gotta get the angle right.

Herb - nice pix .. love that softball..
mark -- you might also might bring a small step ladder..
some times you can get up and shoot over the fence and get a better angle.

if you move behind the catcher you can shoot through the fence for some of your pitcher photos. I put my lens right on the fence(watch the glass though) & shoot through the hole. It works ok for this. You can also get a different perspective of the hitters. I use it some not alot.

don't want to steal your thread..just wanted to show you examples..

Thanks for the tip. I think as it get warmer in Ohio, and I can spend more time moving around the diamond, I should get a better perspective.
