This red-tailed hawk is making a quick meal out of what seems to be a rodent of some sort (maybe a mouse or lemming) ENJOY!

    and another rat bites the dust...what a great song, my age is starting to show:D
    I guess I got close partially due to its distraction with the meal and I was shooting from the car (blind on wheels). Thanks Ben

    It pretty much blended in with the surroundings as you can tell by the images.

    there's lots to shoot up there, not just the wildlife, the landscape is also breathtaking. we should coordinate our schedules next time.
