Photos from my recent visit to the Paramount Theater in
Oakland, CA.

The Paramount Theater opened in 1931.

It's still used today for public events.

Tours are on the first and third Saturdays of the month
and are an incredible bargain at $1.00 for a 2 hour tour.

    Skippy, Sid and TeeWhy,
Thanks for viewing and your nice comments.

Movies were extra special events back in the 1930s.

TeeWhy, it looks like you're from Los Angeles. L.A. has some awesome
movie palaces. Check out the LA Conservancy website. They have
walking tours and in May/June host an event called the Last Remaining Seats.

    Thanks again.
