Great shot! Awesome border too...really sets the image up.

I've been experimenting with smoke shooting myself but I can't get the good deep colors like you have here... Are you using more than one flash? I think thats my problem. I've been using a SB-800 at full power with a orange and green gel on it (makig it blue-ish) or without gels at all.

How are you getting the dark brown and then teal on your smoke? Are you just changing the hue and saturation during post processing or what?

...... sorry, been away shooting on the other side of Australia, Perth, but back for a little while, the colors where achieved post process, just use the saturation sliders, along with some contrast.

I use 2 studio Elinchrom flash heads, but very easy done with sb600 or sb800
