Night Heron & Northern Harrier

Went down to the Baylands for a quick look see. The trees are in terrible
shape. Because of this, the Egrets are building their nests much deeper in
the trees. Or at least they seem to be--but then it's early yet.

I did manage to find a couple of worthy subjects. This night heron

And I think this is a Northern Harrier. Maybe a juvenile?

    I like #1 the best. Not being familiar with a tropical environment, this picture has, for me a prehistoric look to the vegetation . I'd almost expect to see a dinasaur appearing in the background.
