OK, I think i saw one of these here a few weeks ago, but cannot remember where. She/he has been hanging around my yard last few days, I can get within 4 feet or so before she toddles away or flys shoort distance. wondering if maybe she has a ground nest some where. she reminds me of a quail or bob white, but seems wrong color and a bit bigger. I figured somone here would know. thanks !

I have a field guide to birds of North America and went through it 3 times. I couldn't find anything that looks like this bird. Congratulations, you found a new one. Call it the CookieS.rolleyes1.gif The pics are really nice and sharp. Keep up the good work.
