These shots bring back a lot of memories. Back in 1967-69, a bunch of my sports car crazy high school buddies and I used to go up to VIR every spring and fall for the SCCA Regionals. We'd camp out in the infield over by the little pond and basically do what usually goes on in the infield of sports car races.

That early version of VIR eventually went belly-up, but I'm glad to see that it's back up and running and doing well based on what I read.

Great shots; thanks for the memories.

Some nicely framed shots... love the cropping.

Really enjoy the shots of the Porsche and the Stock Cars...

Makes me want to buy an old race car one day. :) So I guess you can tell my opinion of your photos. :)

Eight to ten years ago I did high speed driver education events at Texas World Speedway. One event two guys showed up with an old Champ Car that they had bought used, somehow. Late 70's I think. Obviously a very neat car to see run around. The guys said it scared the $*&@* out of them to drive it! :)

The only thing I would suggest is to try and step back a bit and get some of that (lovely) scenery in your shots, especially seeing as the lack of advertising placards could place a nice backdrop with some of these old beauties!
