How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thank you Tristan. Sometimes you luck out and get a bird that is an excellent model. This one knew I wanted some action and not for him to standing still.

Great model you have there, Harry! Does he charge by the hour?

Was that today? The weather here is freezing rain, and you can imagine that means grey all over.

I love that blue water. Usually that means deep, it must have been the light.

    have a good one,

Thanks Ed, I am very happy with this shot. Timing had nothing to do with it unfortunately. I'm beginning to know the birds behavior better and I can anticipate when they are getting ready to do something like make a strike in this pic. When I see that the bird is about to move I start clicking and hope for the best. I can't wait until i upgrade my D100. The D100 will only take 4 pics before the buffer fills up and you have to wait for it to clear. If I can get 8-12 shots in a burst I will be in hog heaven.

I got that shot a few days ago. Our weather has been alternating between and sunny and overcast for the last week or so. The egret works cheap he woll do a modeling session for two frogs. :D

I made the water darker than it actually was so that the water splash woud stand out better.

He whiffed out and he wasn't happy about it. He demanded 3 frogs for the next one. I told him to take a hike because the herons would work for less.

Thank you this is one of the few pics that I'm very happy with. I try to get out to the wetlands 2-3 times a week. Right now the egret population has seen a dramatic increase.

I have considered the idea of work very carefully having engaged in it for most of my 57+ years. After this careful examination I have come to the conclusion that work sucks. :puke1 It takes too much time away from the important things like photography.
