Last night I took some photographs during Pitt Stop fashion show. The show was designed to attract customers to the local selection of fashion boutiques. It attracted few hundred spectators. The organisers intermixed the fashion show with dance routines ranging from rap to tango. It was during the tango that I have spotted this gorgeous brunette obviously deeply affected by the dancing performance. And it should be no surprise as the tango dancers were extremely good. Not only were they skilled dancers but the choreography of their routine was very well designed to show off their skill and how well they performed together. Well done Pitt Stop!

The stage light on another hand was a nightmare. It looks OK in this shot but in actual fashion parade I had a big spot light shining straight in the lens.

Embrace the light! I love shooting into lights-- especially at fashion shows.

I like the light too and made sure not to overpower it with my 580EX but it still give the AF a really hard time as you do not see the face of the model during focusing.

Just a little tip (not that you're asking...) but you'll get your ol' 580 to recycle faster and can shoot faster if you up your ISO to something like 400 and drop your f-stop to 3.5 or less. Just an idea. I shoot A LOT of small time fashion shows and these settings seem to be what I use most of the time. Just sharing this because it took a lot of trial and error for me to figure out and it might save you that frustration.
