Playing with new lens

Yeahh! My new toy arrived today. I went crazy shooting everything without even reading instructions.... :rolleyes

Anyway, don't be laughting now, i've never used macro lens before, so it will take some time to get used to.

This little guy was sitting outside on my window. I think it's time to wash them windows :huh

Now i need to go and read on specs of the lens before i go snapping.

    I like the last two of the froggie... The ones of it's underside are kinda gross and slimy!

    Nice start! thumb.gif Now to start playing around with DoF, external flashes (more cash), external flash brackets (more cash) diffusers (ah, those you can make yourself) etc!

    Don't forget that switching between AF and MF is a 2-step process on the Sig105 - one the switch on the barrel and the second is pulling/pushing the focus ring *fully* to the MF/AF mark.

    Al, i dont wanna hear about MORE CASH rolleyes1.gifI'm kind of confused about the whole set up of this lens, i need to do some reading. I only use manual focus and it set on "full"

    Hmmm, is there any other way? rolleyes1.gifI didn't realize i was almost hitting that poor toad with my lens while taking that shot. I was wondering why he kept moving around and wouldn't stay still ne_nau.gif

    I believe you'll want to change it from full mode if you're doing macro... Setting it to full will allow your lens to 'search' the whole focus range while the other setting will usually stop within 3 feet. I'f your doing marco shots then you probably don't need anything past 3 feet. But that only applies when you are using auto focus. Since you are using manual focus then it doesn't matter.
