Too much processing. The image is really lost in the noise.

I'm used to a lot of noise-

    and I cut back some-

if you saw some more of my pics you would realize you're wasting your comments, but I do appreciate you looking and commenting, because you looked, and it was constructive-

I kind of like the effect. Was it done on purpose?

    hey mom-

here's the original (or a reasonable facsimile thereof)-

    139900007-L.jpg

simply put, I converted it to bw, used a split tone action, and added noise, or grain-

Hi, Very interesting...Beautiful composition. It shows up on my monitor not quite black and white. seems to have some warms in the blossoms and a very cold background which IMHO really adds to it. but, is my monitor off and it's really black and white?ne_nau.gif

this is a portion of the comment I had with this photo on the daily photo community-

'it's not about what you see; it's what you feel-'

    pretty much my photo-philosophy-

I am very much interested in the works of the surrealists, and like to go beyond a mirror image of what I photograph (and believe me, I'm not putting down 'standard photography', for there is so much involved: the focus, crop, composition, contrast, color, etc.)-

anyway, if you don't like my stuff, that's ok; I like it-

and if I look at your stuff, I'll more than likely like it, because there's not much photography that I don't like-

    hi jill-

the original was converted to bw thru a circuitous route and then I used a split tone action with blue into the shadows and sepia in the highlights-

    thanks, I guess-

you would have made it much more interesting because you would have found some bug or something infinitesmally small to shoot-

Not sure that I like this headscratch.gif
It's like I want to remove whatever is blocking the clear view of such a pretty blossom so I can see it much better.... almost like impaired vision?

I also see that it is creative with the added gain and colour change. :D
