Way too much wind for natural light shooting today -but I couldn't help it. Well over 20 frames and this is the one image that I kept.
Canon Xti (Tv mode -2/3 EV, 1/200, ISO 100) + 100mm macro + 12mm extension tube + MR-14 EX used for fill (set to -2 FEC). Shot in RAW and edited in Elements 5 with no changes in the RAW editor. Noise Ninja, auto levels adjustment, 10% shadows / highlights adjustment, used the healing brush to take out a dust spot and remove one minor defect in the flower, and saved as a high quality jpg.
Edit: Please move this the the "Other Photos" section. I'd delete it and repost but I don't see the option...

That is a beautiful shot John
Love the total scene, the flower, the bee, the colours, the sharpness.
Well done ... Skippy

Thanks for the props! I'm forcing myself to work more on composition and lighting this year -it's not enough just to get the eyes in focus...

We now need to not destroy it and capture its beauty for all to behold.
