Anyone know what kind of bug this is? I was getting shots of butterflies when it buzzed up to a flower.

Thanks for the id! I thought it looked like a mix between a hummingbird and a bumble bee.

Hi there Bonniejo, I'd be inclinded to say its a hummingbird moth.
They are really quite big, and I can actually say I have seen one for real

That butterfly is beautiful, gawwd I'd love to see one of those in my backyard I tell ya .... Skippy
