Post Office thinks they're funny?

My smugmug prints arrived today. The envelope looked like this:



Are you kidding me? Did someone think this was funny or could it really have been an honest mistake?


Oh, and in case you're wondering if my postal carrier followed the instructions: yes, he did. Bent the envelope firmly and didn't think twice about it.

bar code labels are applied by automation

unfortunately the address label and orientation of the "please do not bend" notice are printed contrary to the standardized aspect ratio recognized by the machines... hence the bar code label wound up where it did.
