This shot was a combination of 5 shots stacked to give better definition of the snowflakes, needed to get these before all the snow had melted in the mountains around here. 100mm macro 2.8, this is cropped to almost full size.

Brian - yes i lived in the UK for 35 years, i know the type of snow you are talking about. In Nevada at altitude it stays light and fluffy for extended periods of time. Hope you get some good stuff next year.
Jill - Yes thanks, they are real difficult to capture, a real challenge.
Skippy - They are unique, it always amazes me just how nature can form something so delicate.
