Dreams do come true....
You know how you have this photo in your head of your favorite bird and wish that someday you would have a chance to take the actual photo.
Well I have had this picture in my head of a Chukar sounding off at the top of a hill with a clean background for a couple years. I have come close but never quite right.
Well this morning I was sitting in my little blind for a couple hours at dawn and was just getting ready to leave and heard a Chukar coming.
I could hardly believe it when he came right up over the top of the hill in the exact spot I was hoping for. Then he stops and starts chucking exactly in the right spot.
Well for those of you lucky enough to have gotten your dream shot...you will understand I had a hard time holding the camera steady, even on the tripod. He looked awesome in the morning light. After all that hope you like the photo. Taken with the d200 and the 50-500 Sigma.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
