I have Raw photos that when I try to open in Cs2 they aren't highlighted as a Readable choice, if I select open " all Documents" it will highlight.
When I click on it , a Raw Options box comes up. See photo
THen I choose ok and I get this weird looking photo. See Photo
The raw file s I have are taken with Canon Rebel XT.

So I went to a friend s house and Downloaded a raw file , taken with her 20D
and it recognizes and opens it with no problems.

Well forget the PNGS I was going to send , the upload is telling me "not a valid png?
Thankyou

Pamela

Do you have the RAW plug-in for your camera?

Have you ever opened a RAW file from this camera, with the Photoshop on this computer, before?

You may be using an older version of Camera Raw that has 20D support but not Rebel XT support. More recent versions of Camera Raw added XT support, and it sure works great with my XT.

You can download the latest version here:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/cameraraw.html

Note that the instructions for where to drag it are on the download page, so don't close that page right away.

    nope, you don't have to.
The new plugin will overwrite the older version.
