By any chance, did you shoot this without the grass in the lower right corner? It might become smoooooooother and more mysterious without.
I actually would have liked to see a bit more of the grass. I like the way it plays against the shore in the upper left. It gives me a start and an end when viewing the image.

I agree. Foreground interest very often improves landscapes photos. And no, 'truth', that doesn't mean I'm claiming to be the end all of landscape photographers. I love the light and mood of this image though.
