but not birds. I switched lenses and threw on the 100mm macro lens and started to play around with it again. I stink with this lens because my DOF always ends up being too shallow. I desperately need a good flash to help out with the darkness, but that is another story (Adorama are you listening?). Anyhow, like Ben, I took some pictures of some bees doing their thing helping out with that pollination thing....

Mr. Yellowjacket showed up.

Finally a snapped a pic of a red admiral. I never could get a picture of the wings spread although I tried. It was just too quick. This one was actually shot with my long lens and cropped.

I noticed you had mentioned that you bought this lens. It's a fun lens, but much harder to work with because of the shallow DOF.

Good set of shots. thumb.gif I always find it very challenging to shoot with a macro lens.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I am so much of a visual learner that I have read how to do it, but I really need someone to SHOW me how to do it. I don't know what it is about me and reading instructions. It's also why I don't have more customizations on my smugmug site. eek7.gifscratchne_nau.gifcry
