The text color tangent

It would yes, but...

Choosing a title for your work is a very important skill to master. I get people who hire me at times simply because of the way some of the photos are titled. Titles are important and they finish off the piece. What we are doing now is training the contestants to put a little effort into titling their work, and not just repeating the stated theme of the contest. It does not have to be long or elaborate, but it should complement the piece. The better you become at titling, the better the response from those who view the work.

It is my hope that by the end of the contest year we will have slowly trained a vast number of photographers to be better at what they do and better able to enter the profession of photography if they so desire.
I guess so. I’m here to learn something, so I may as well make the effort.

What happened to the text colour choice??

Welcome wave.gif There is no need to embellish, embellishing posts with colors results in unreadable posts much of the time.

    Thanks!

The trick to reading black text on a black background is to select it. It's a hassle, but it works most of the time.

In fact it always works (at least in windows world). :D
The color alternating algorithm is written in a way that there always is a substantial difference in font/back colors.

Yeah, yeah. He knows. And so does Andy, and so do I. :D

We removed the color picker option for a reason. Nobody really "needs" color text, so if you leave it on auto, no matter what skin you are using to browse dgrin, everyone can read all the text. thumb.gif

So is there an easy way to paste text in from MS Word without it turning black?

Actually, yes. Paste, select all and then click the leftmost topmost button with the double A red-crossed, next to font selction combobox...

That’s what it was. I usually past from Word, which pastes in black. Than I used the colour picker to change to grey.

Thanks. I had been pasting into a programming editor which strips formatting and then copying to the browser. This is easier.

I would be surprised if this didn't happen on the Mac. Does Safari throw away formatting when you paste into a text box?

    Moved
first it was text color and now it's become a mac/pc/browser tangent as well. I've split this off from the Last Photographer Standing discussion thread.

It’s not just Safari. This Word text was pasted into Firefox.
