Frame-by-frame turned out to be a bit more challenging that the others.
While you can continue to submit entries to it (as well as to all the prior topics, just remember: fresh pictures!) let's switch to something a bit simpler. Maybe even 50% simpler. Let's shoot half!
This week assignment is to frame only one half of your primary subject. Half of a face, half of a car, half of a glass, half of the building, etc. Your entry should deliver the message of showing the half. Your half should be bold and unambiguous.
Note: pictures of a spouse/bf/gf do not count :deal, as do not the images of half of a family (unless you prepped it with a chainsaw :wink).
Fresh pictures only (as always).
For the rest of the basic rules and index please check out this sticky.
Let's get some halves!

Great entry, thanks a lot!
Look who's back from India! :-)
Thanks, I like the last one a lot! Add some PP and it would be a totally awesome image!

Sure, done.
Great entry! I like the mirrored image, too:-)
Thanks! Now you got yourself TWO halves:-)
Caught at an Angels game a couple years ago...
Cheater, it 2/3, not 1/2
This is a second shot, not the original... I was only eyeballing it and handholding, but I got pretty close to half! Maybe 17/32?
Cropping is OK :-)
rofl
We've got half-a-ball!
On the right is the older version.
It is, it is... Although.. do you think you can turn it CCW 90 degrees and take a shot with the handle cropped at the middle? Maybe even the whole vessel heightwise...
My idea of half in this case is/was not to show half the jar but to point that the water is at half height inside it.
I did not want - I still don't - cut the jar at half - in the photo - just to justify the picture.
The idea is to show the half behind ...
A glass of whine half full is also a glass of whine half empty ...:D
Whine or whatever.
Remember when the assignment was one ? I shot one Euro.
That was a poor way to do the assignment.
Half would be, for example, to shoot 50 cts which is in fact 1/2 Euro.
See what I mean ? Did I made myself clear ?
The idea of this assignemnt is exactly to cut the subject in half - compositionally.
Trust me on this :-)
We'll get to the half-empty/full concept some other time...
Hi Antonio, I see what you mean now... but only after you explained it. Nik's directions called for "Your half should be bold and unambiguous" and I think the water misses that mark slightly.
Cool shot though...
