The solo pictures look great, especially the last one....the first couple of pictures those dogs don't look very sweet. I'm sure they are just playing, but I have always feared German Sheperds...thanks to dog ny uncle had when I was a kid...he trained that dog to be vicious.

Sorry you had bad experience with GSDs :cry Training is a key to any dog, big or small. Most people get big dogs (gsd's, rotts, pits) you name it, and they do just the opposite. It's a sad, sad fact of life. You can come and meet my guys any time, i put a lot of work into both of them!! mwink.gif

Great shots. Great dogs. My parents raised show quality GSD when I was a little. Absolutely right, it's the owner, not the dog.

PS I sent you a PM also.

    they all are nice.
the single portraits would be even more interesting with a little compositional crop ( to uncenter the subject )

Nice series. I always wonder (here anyway) why the military & police use shepards as they have such a beautiful nature. I know any dog can be trained but it just does not seem right to me. They are about the only big dog that have a clear presence of either ' you can pat me or.. you stand right there where i can watch you & dont take another step' Maybe thats just why they use them...safe to the people until told not to be.

The reason number 1 for GSD's to be used in police and military is their versatality. Instead of using 3 dogs for 3 different reasons, they only need 1. That's the beauty of these dogs. The things these beauties can do along with looks what always attract me to these dogs. Protection, service work, guidance, search and rescue, and whole lot more, plus they are the most loyal family companians it's unbelievable. So, with this said, i absolutely hate to see bad rep that public put into these dogs, and totally forget about how many lives they save daily. I do GSD rescue and guess who is #1 in the shelter behind the Pits?? You guessd it, German Shepherd. If i could, i would own them all!
Ohh, and before you pet the dog (any dog), you should ask for permission, that's the right thing to do! :D

Nice captures but the first four the WB seems to be a tad too warm. It must cost a fortune to feed them. You might save some of the food costs if you taught them to hunt squirrels.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks but I never feel very comfortable editing other folks stuff.
Photography is such a personal thing I'm happy to make suggestions but feel you should do your own editing.
Hands on is always better in my eye.

Yes Jeff, they are, in public places. When i take them out without leash there is no one around, so it is safe for them as they have to run run run...

Thank you Harry, it does not cost a fortune Laughing.gif. They ear RAW and raw only. I've never given them a kibble, it's a nasty stuff! Especially with current recalls, etc. YIKES!
