Big Horn Sheep

I managed to get this with a 200mm lens from about 500 feet. These Big Horn sheep were on a ridge across a ravine on a mountain pass I drove over today.

    I cropped it a huge amount, this is about 1/8th of the frame I shot. 200mm was not nearly enough to get a good close up from that distance.
    I was able to use 1/640 shutter speed with the 70-200VR Nikkor (handheld) and this gave a fairly sharp image for that distance. I also shot this in RAW format on a D80 so I had a huge file to crop from.
