How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Harry, these are all great shots. The colors on the Shoveler are impressive and the Red Shouldered Hawk is excellent.

Beautiful set clap.gif. Each one is special, but it's just amazing you nailed the esposure of a black grackle and white egret in several shots and they're in great focus bowdown.gif

Really super set here, Harry. thumb.gifthumb

I don't understand how that silly little grackle can run off an egret though. Wouldn't have believed it unless I'd seen it.

Thanks Jill. I used a smaller aperture than I normally would have to keep them in focus. I lucked out when the female grackle came out because she's a light brown. If a male grackle had come out, they are black, I would have been in trouble with the exposure.

Thanks Joel. its not uncommon to see the little birds harass the larger ones. I've seen grackles go after an osprey after it had caught a fish (that was safe the osprey's talons were occupied holding onto its catch), I've seen a mockingbird drive a caracara off its perch, and recently I saw a blackbird harass a perching eagle.
