The Silent Majority.
Haven't been around here much.
Found out a week or two ago that my girlfriend is pregnant.
Been pretty crazy.
Here is a set I did with a good friend.
Trying to find his grandfather's grave.

Your blend of ambient and flash works well here. Look at your composition though-- the first shot has a gravestone growing out of his head. What about getting your friend off-center and leaving just grass behind his head? Maybe even zoom in more to make this a 3/4 or tighter shot-- doesn't seem much point in showing his shoes other than to show you have a wide lens.
The second shot is well-done-- lots of energy and feels very spontaneous.
Watch the background again on the third shot-- lots of trees behind his head. I think it would look better if there was just sky behind him. His expression is good-- try raising your strobe just a bit though and get that nose shadow down on his face rather than next to the nose.
Just an idea-- but if you were lying down in the grass with that wide angle lens and showed your friend looking around at the gravestones-- that might be a cool way to illustrate your storyline here.

I too like the first and second one, the third is just a deer in headlights for me.
And, congratulations on your news, best of health to her and the little one
