Glowing Paper Birch

Found this out back on Sunday. Sun at just the right angle on the peeling birch bark to give this pretty glow. I like the contrast between the peeling old bark and the smooth surface of the exposed trunk. This piece of bark was quite high up - the deer eat this in the winter, so this piece was out of their reach.
