Thanks for the comments everyone.
I don't think the ant was doing anything clever- it was just struggling to get out of the dewdrop after blundering into it. The shot below is the last one in the sequence.

Just when I was starting to think there is nothing you can surprise us with now smarty pants!
Honestly folks you don't realize what a wonderful world MACRO is until you see it for yourself with your own eyes, live on the field.
It is just fascinating to watch.
There is so much in life we take for granted, but if you take the time to be still, patient and watchful, I assure you it wont be long till something catches your eye.

I keep on getting sidetracked now when I get down to do some dewdrop refraction shots- keep on finding bugs doing silly things instead
