I've never been much of a flower guy but I must say orchids are simply amazing. They come in so many shapes, sizes, and colors. Here are a few from a trip to the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in Richmond, VA a couple weeks ago.

Orchards truly are amazing, you were very fortunate to be able to go along and see them.

Your second picture, reminds me of the Disney Film "Aladin"

I love them, they are a flower you cannot help looking at the structure of.

I am fond of orchids too. Some of them are fairly easy to grow in your home. I currently have about 10 orchid plants, and wish I had room for more. Thanks for sharing your photos!

Thanks everyone!

I chatted with one regular visitor to the gardens when I paid for my ticket. He said they have a rather extensive collection of orchids that they rotate in and out of the display area in the conservatory.

HA! I hadn't thought of that but now that you mention it I definitely see the resemblance.
