I have been looking around because I thought I saw this posted somewhere... Is it possible to use SmugMug to post a portrait photo at 800 pixels tall? :scratch If not, no biggie.... Just one of those things my head is stuck on!

Thanks!

    Yes.

But, you have to resize it to 800 yourself. Then upload. Then link the original image (-O).

    That's ONE way
But the pimp way is to use CUSTOM image sizes if you have a Smug account :)

Question, though... I did this and it turned out VERY soft. I had Originals enabled and this was a 10-11MP image I uploaded....

The image I have for the contest now (resized using LR and linked to the O image):
    143656844-O.jpg

Identical image resized by SmugMug from an 11+ MP image - Originals enabled:
    143542068-800x800.jpg

Did I do something wrong? This is definitely not a very good quality image.... If I did, can I force it to recreate that custom size?

    Thanks!

it'll always be better if you do it on your own thumb.gif Especially in an image like this.
