Here's my current entry:-

Should I change it to this picturesque example:-

Or this irregular one:-

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks, Charlie

I think your current entry fits the "irregular" theme perfectly, and it's well executed. I also like the new picturesque shot, but I would prefer to see it bigger (800 px wide for entry). It looks a tad dark to me, but it could be my monitor.. I'm working on a new system and have not calibrated the display yet. The flower doesn't do anything for me...

I think I would stick with what you have. It's a nice irregular shot.

Out of all the entries I have seen in the whole 90 pages(till now) no entry even comes close to your Picturesque. Change the tablet thingy, and go for picturesque.
Your current entry does not have anything special. Technically its not something which is very superior, and aesthetically also it is not something I would like seeing in a photography book or calender, however the fields with sky, I can see it in a calender.
You could however try changing the cropping here and there to see which makes for a better composition, and don't forget to make it 800px atleast(Smugmug L)

Your #2 picturesque is a great image. Definite contender. The rest are not.

The picturesque, without a doubt. Beautiful.

Thanks everyone for for your valuable help and for responding so quickly. iloveyou.gif

I'm going to change my entry to the picturesque shot. As much as I like my original idea, I know in my heart of hearts not enough effort went into the execution of it.

My landscape shot was however a lot more challenging and it took some effort to obtain, now I just have to think of a name, before I edit my post.

    Thanks again,

    Charlie

Since you still have a few hours, I'd suggest to play with it a bit more. It's good, but it's not perfect. For instance, I like the exposure, but I'd do something different crop-wise. ne_nau.gif I think only one tree on the right should make it into the frame, the second one almost looks like a clone.deal.gif

Isolate yourself, think form the end user perspective. mwink.gif
    Good luck! clap.gif

    Now I'm panicking again mwink.gif

It's midnight and I've got to go to bed, I've played with some different crops but haven't found anything I like yet.

I may get time tomorrow evening, fingers crossed.

    Thanks for the help,

    Charlie

I don't think the judges will apreciate your changing the entry AFTER the Big Clock strikes... ne_nau.gif

Out of curiosity, was your initial entry an actual photo or did you use photoshop to change the color?

I selected the pill and changed the colour using the hue slider, what was your guess?

Sorry Charlie for not getting back, but I got kinda locked out of the website last night. Must have been the big rush of everyone uploading.

I meant nope, I wouldn’t change it. But that’s a bit late at this stage, anyway.
