Hi All,

Couple of questions for the people who are travelling and posting here. DO you carry your tripods with you?

I just am not sure if I need to. Also, what about a Wide Angle lense? Is it worth the expense?

Thanx

I think this thread would be better fitted to the technique forum so dont be suprised if it gets moved...

Tripod... Yes. I have to dissassemble mine to fit it in a suitcase, it makes my bag overweight which cost me an extra 25 bones every flight ne_nau.gif Even with that, I dont go without it. Slow shutterspeed water shots, cool night shots, even shots with me in them :D cannot be done without one.

Wide angle, This depends on a lot of things, your shooting style, the multiplcation factor of your camera, the types of photos you like to take (if you are going for birds it's near useless, for landscapes, almost a must). I also would not leave with out my 17-25mm.

I thought Accessories made a nice choice.

If you look around, there are a few tripod threads. One or two about what
    makes the best travel tripod.

The short answer is "If you can, you should".

Enjoy your trip and bring us back a Journey tale!
