I have a Kodak Z650 with the 45mm to 55mm lans adaptor. Before I buy any filters will any brand filter fit or am I limited to specific brands? Thanks for the help.

There's something wrong with us. Something very very wrong with us. Something seriously wrong with us. We're soldiers. But, we're American soldiers.....":rambo

Any 55mm filter will work. Just watch, and inspect, any filter you get. There are different qualities of ground glass. Brand names are usually the best. Vivitar, Hoya, Tiffen, Canon, etc... But a basic UV filter will be your best bet for protection, if that's what you're looking for.

Any filter will work, the threads are standard industry-wide.

The most respected brands are Heliopan, B+W, and Hoya--in that order. They are more expensive, but with reason. You can get B+W and Hoya for excellent prices at maxsaver.net (just renamed here).
