Pinewood Derby Snapshots

Yeah, that's right. I was toting a $3000 snapshot camera to my son's cub scout pinewood derby on Saturday. Go ahead...laugh and smirk. No, it's not art, but it was fun anyway.

Note: all but two of the images were shot at ISO1600 with available light on my 20D. :D

We had a good time, even though no trophies were brought home. This year, my son did 90% of the work on his car himself and won a 2nd place and two 3rds in the heats, which was his best showing. This was his last year at the pinewood derby, as he will soon earn Arrow of Light, and move on to Boy Scouts.

    Yep Fish the P/D was a great 3 years for HUNTER and I this is a very bad photo ,shot by his mom [I was to busy jumping up and down and yelling] This was our last year and we won it all .Even in a bad photo you can see the joy in his face .We are now in scouts father and son best years .Jeff ps you need any tips on a winning car let me know
