Has anyone here added a sync port to your 580ex?

Here is Michael Bass's blog that shows you how to do it..... I have one and was waiting for the new model to come out just for this option..... I decided to order a new 580ex and do the mod on both. an easier option would be to put a hama hot shoe
under your 580ex that has a sync plug.
