Tonight I went to a candlelight vigil for those lost in the Virginia Tech tragedy. It was really dark so it was hard to get any face shots so I shot this. Let me know what you think.

A sad event Scott, but I really like the photo. It's even more impressive if that's your hand.

Such a shocking tragedy, we like to think when our children go to school they are safe.....

so young....... it shouldn't have happened, we are quick to blame this person and that person, but this chain of events started long before the actual shootings, it does not excuse this young man from what he did in any way.

I cannot begin to imagine what it must be like to lose a child, or anyone I know for that matter in such a terrible tragedy.

We light a candle and shine a light, too little too late.
    .........

I like your image, the news reached our shores too,
you cannot help but feel sad .... thank you for sharing.... Skippy

Very moving shot Scott, especially with the story like VA Tech. Sadness all around, i couldn't work straight that day, sad and sensless tragedy.
Thank you for lighting a candle for those who became victims at no fault of their own. :cry

Great one, Scott. I wish I could have attended something, but I was too tied up with other stuff to get away. It was nice to see a lot of orange and maroon while I was out tonight.
