Automating watermarks

Is there anyway to automate watermarking? I have images from multiple photographers that are mixed together and I need to apply a custom watermark (with copyright info) to each photographer's images. I have setup the different watermarks and can manually apply them, but with the images mixed it is very time consuming and error prone.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, could set up a holding gallery for each photographer - then have their watermark set to watermark on upload to that gallery. THEN move the photos as needed to new galleries

That is one idea. But it still sounds like a bit of manual effort.

One thought that I have come up with is to set a keyword by photographer (in Lightroom which I am using) and then upload the images. I could then search by keyword and watermark those. Will this work?

Well, no, because you can't watermark from the keyword gallery, sorry...
