I likie #2 but I think you need to reshoot it so that you don't have those dangling claws on the right -- either that, or work both lobsters into the scene. The whole scene with the pot is great, especially with the reflection also being visible.

Also, how about putting the water to boil for the scene? :D

I see the steam~ Very neat looking crawfish (or lobsters I guess)! I really like this idea, and the lighting just makes this photograph. Great job!

ne_nau.gif Sorry, but the light from the window in the background is making it difficult for me to see. It could be just "me" though.

    #2 is hilarious!

I agree about not seeing the steam... I can *sort of* see it, but it's not obvious enough...

    Awesome, though!

It's definitely more obvious in #2. with the DOF the steam is also out of focus, adding to the difficulty.

I liked the backlighting and shadows of this perspective more than from the opposite side of the countertop, so it was a compromise.

Steam is hard to shoot! :)

Thanks all for the feedback. This is definitely a departure from my normal subjects....!

I love the feel of this shot (2 and 3). I think the composition in #2 is good, but could be a little stronger. The reflection in the pot is s-pot on. :D I do think the extra claws are distracting like others have said. Maybe a bit more of a "kitchen" backdrop?
