Who knew he could dance?
... my son, that is. This is from the High School play "Grease", which is his last play in HS.
Both images with Canon 1D MKII, EF 70-200mm, f2.8L, (non-IS), available "stage" lighting, RAW, ISO3200, f2.8, 1/640th and 1/400th respectively. Tripod was used and there was at least a 3 stop difference between the lightest and darkest portions of the stage. These were center-stage, which accounts for the fairly high shutter speeds.
Considerable post-processing and using the girl's wrist for flesh tones (because they were all in theatrical makeup.)
